Wicked Lasers has allegedly worked out how to create a 1W blue laser that they can sell for $200.  For those of you unfamiliar with lasers, this is a Class Four device, which covers everything from about 500mW up to the laser from Real Genius.  To give you an idea of its power:

If you point it at a piece of paper, the piece of paper will burn almost instantly.

If you point it at someone's shirt, their shirt will begin to smolder.

Raid Groztok's Goons started fresh and 1 shotted the lower citadel, as well as Festergut and Rotface, and took on Putricide, a first for many of the people in the riad, and got him to 1%! We definitely can field 2 progression 10 man raids simultaneously!

Raid Talarashne's Tweakers finally dropped Sindragosa and there was much rejoicing. Then began cleanup of the other wings in this lockout, and took down Rotface and Festergut with some attempts on Putricide (just need to get him to enter phase 3 without an add up).

If you don't agree this is the BEST IDEA EVER and immediately join the Facebook group, you're all out of the guild.

See, tomorrow is when I go to see a lawyer about filing for divorce and start into the task of extracting my stuff from the house I bought (not we; she was $30k in the hole at that point, and contributed less than nothing). And then, after she comes home from work, I get to deal with the inevitable meltdown and screaming. The reasons for this action are many and varied; suffice to say I do not do this lightly, that this is a long time coming, and that this will suck more mightily than a black hole on a street corner.

So a while back I posted my brother's art weblog, which he's using to keep track of the things he's learning and the work he's come up with. A lot of it's mindboggling for me, and I know exactly how 3D modelling works. He's come a long way in a few months. But oddly enough it was music that got him started, not directly 3D animation, though that was important in the music.

Day 3

Arc du Triumphe - a mad mad place for drivers. And a hell of a lot of steps to the top in a dizzying spiral.

Paris is a pretty cool place. I mainly went to see the history and architecture, and there was a feast of sights. 

Day 1

Jet lagged, but managed to walk down to the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadero (gardens overlooking the Seine and the Tower).

Then we cruised on the Seine to see some of the buildings. I kept looking for MacLeod's barge but couldn't find it. 

I know people have been asking me to draw stuff since Tartare drew his picture of Malky, but seeing as my job has me keeping utterly bizarre hours for a while longer that's not likely to happen any time soon.  That said, I know Euph at least knows that I draw and wanted to see more of the sort of things that I do, so here's a few things from the old art folder in the meantime.

Many of us have played this game long enough to know that people's free time tends to wax and wane based on life.  I levelled up Saf under normal conditions, hit 80 and started to gather gear for entry level raiding and then WHAM!!!

So, my wife and I were expecting and due at the end of June.  March 23, someone decided to make an early showing.

Yes, at 26 weeks to the day we had a baby boy and my life has completely changed with hospital trips consuming all my free time and then some.  Today would have been 35 weeks gestationally and instead I have a 2 month old, albeit he has yet to come home.  He's doing really well and growing stronger (putting on weight) daily.
