Just wanted to post some information about the UI and some things I feel are important to success.  I don't expect anyone to desire to copy my UI exactly especially since I havent really spent much time making it pretty as much as I have making it functional.  Hopefully you may pick up some tricks or ideas though that can be incorporated into your setup.

This will mostly be from the point of view of my rogue though almost all that I use here is used in some fashion on my DK and my priest especially the meta thought behind keybinding.

Full UI

I have all the basics there recount in the bottom left, raid frames top left, important player and target information centered around my character.

Player and Target Frames

These frames were done using a combination of X-Perl, Satrina Buff Frames (SBF) , and a rogue specific addon call Rogue Focus Classic.

Under the player frame is a small section of buffs that I have setup from SBF.  These are configured to show me specific self buffs that I need to keep up such as slice and dice.  I also have it looking for procs from gear or abilities.  Very useful because it is in one spot, it shows me the duration w/out using alot of screen space and I use that information to know which abilities to prioritise.  To the left of the player frame are the debuffs that are on me.  You can see from this screenshot that I have chill of the throne.  Also on the player frame is my level and class which I know but the 0 is how many healers have me targeted.  I find this information more useful in pvp and while tanking on my dk but its nice to know.

The right side of my character is my target frame.  On the nameplate shows my threat and if the target is casting the name changes to a cast bar with the name of the spell.  The right hand side of the target frame shows the targets level.  The number 2 on that side is how many people are also targeting that creature which is also useful for threat reasons.  The elite shows me the difficulty of the creature of course but in pvp shows the class of the player.  Under the target frame I have x-perl show me the debuffs that I have on the creature.  This is very useful for tracking deadly poison stacks and duration, also helps alot on my DK keeping track of my diseases and their durations.

The center shows Rogue Focus classic which makes it easy to monitor energy and above that my combo points are shown.  On my DK I have something similar though more elaborate for tracking runes and runic power.

Where Malky is shows my focus target and the left of him is his current target.  This is useful for knowing if I should use Tricks of the Trade on him and helps with targeting creatures to assist.  Similar to my target frame the name of my focus target turns into a cast bar which is very useful in pvp when I have an enemy focused.

Action Bars

Here is my Action Bars.  I use bartender to allow me to customize size appearance and hotkeys for them.  I have everything here keybound using a simple system.  It is based on using 1 through 4 q,e and then ctrl or shift modifiers for them.  I try to keep the logic behind my keybinds consistent throughout my characters where possible.  I play the game almost forever having the right mouse button pressed down for camera control.  I use the standard WASD movement keys with the right mouse button held down A and D are strafing keys.  Z,X,C are typically get out of trouble buttons.

Hardware

This is my mouse, it is a Logitech G5.  It has 2 thumb buttons, 2 center buttons, and a scroll wheel that moves side to side and scrolls up and down.  I have the Logitech Setpoint software to make the buttons marked act as the keystrokes indicated while in WoW.  This allows me to get around limitations within the keybind software to use the thumb and center buttons as control and shift modifiers rather as a stand alone button.  I could use my keyboards ctrl and shift buttons to activate these but that limits my ability to use WASD for movement.  So I have them bound to my mouse.  This gives me the ability to have at my hand many different skills while keeping maximum ability to move.

Nice!

What size monitor are you playing on? I'll post mine when I get home, I haven't uploaded my recent ss to Photobucket yet. I like how Recount is front & center and the party frames are tucked in a corner, lol. "I iz rogue, fear mah dps" fer serious :)

Omen?

first thing I noticed is no omen. Maybe this is why pox always pulls aggro and dies at some point. =)

HOLY FUCKING FUCK

NO MOAR HEALS FOR YOU UNTIL YOU GET OMEN AND PUT IT SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR SCREEN!

(and remember that it's not recount, and you don't want to win Omen)

Also, I'm a little shocked that you don't have FoK bound to all of your keys.

oh hai

not to hijack but euph wanted to see mine like a month ago - click it for the super huge! - also, don't ask about the power auras on my player frame, i've been meaning to fix it

I'm on a 22 inch monitor I

I'm on a 22 inch monitor I run at the monitors native resolution of 1680X1050.  You guys should wait til I finish before jumping on me about not having omen.  If you notice on the Target frame there is a Yellow hash mark as well as a percentage in the name area.  This tells me my threat on that creature.  Also not shown is a big - Agro - warning right over my characters head if I pull threat on any creature even if I do not have it targeted.  The problem I'm running into now is that when I pop my cooldowns I'll go from having 1/2 the threat of the highest to dead in 1 gcd thats why I'm eating floor paste.  I used to be able to just wait for a thunderclap now I can't.  Rogues do not have any inherent threat reduction via talents or abilities they rely on cooldowns to reduce threat.   Also just like omen the threat shown is only available for the targeted creature it does not show me everone hit from an aoe.

Actually.....

Rogues have a -20% threat bonus inherent to them and only them. I don't believe any other class has this. All threat a rogue does is automatically less.

feral cats.

They have built in threat reduction too, but I don't think it's as much as rogues.
