Welcome to Natural Order Raiding - Read Me

Welcome. In an attempt to get a bit more organized, while not going all psycho raid team, we've decided to create this space in the forums to better organize our raid efforts. All Natural Order members are welcome to raid, and we will continue our regular guild loot and other rules in place.

This is not an attempt to turn Natural Order into a "lolsrzraiding" guild - we're not forcing the entirety of the guild membership to go "hardcore" here.  Rather, we're trying to get those of us who do want to raid ORGANIZED so we can raid better, smarter, and more frequently.  No one will be kicked out of Natural Order because they're unable to raid, or just plain not interested in it.

This forum and the posts within are primarily get everyone on the same page. This is a group effort, and demands just that. Group effort, as well as respect and communication. For this reason we are going to be asking of everyone who wishes to raid with us the following:

1) Please reply to this post indicating your desire to raid 10 and possibly 25 man content with the guild. While you may still raid with us even without replying to this post, we will not only be unable to guarantee you raid spots, but any open spots will be given to those who have signed up and indicated their desire to raid above those who haven't.

2) We ask you to check this forum regularly, every day or so. If you have time to play WoW, you have time to fire up your browser and check the Raid forum before logging in. We will be posting our raids here, our strategies and more, and if you can't be bothered to check what's going on, then you have to expect that those that do are going to more likely get raid spots. It might not be a hotbed of activity on any given day, but all the more reason to just take a couple minutes and check.

3) This isn't a cruise ship and there is no cruise director. We have to make our own fun. For this reason we ask that everyone who wishes to raid particpate in these forums, ie post. We're not trying to exclude anyone by use of this forum, we're trying to INCLUDE everyone. We need everyones thoughts and ideas on both when to schedule raids, and also on whether they think certain raid strategies will work, as well as how and when and whom to recruit to the guild. If all you do is show up the minute the raid is to be formed and expect an invite, you shouldn't be too hopefull as we'll favor those who particpate, and help as a whole whatever efforts we make whether it's strategy or recruiting, or whatever. Your'e more than welcome to do nothing and still raid with us, but you're not going to do it as much as those that participate. This is YOUR guild too. Ask not what your guild can do for you, but what you can do for your guild.

4) We will have a list of required addons. We will ask that everyone has these addons, they won't kill your system, and they'll help the raid.

5) We will continue to use Group Calendar for our in game scheduling, but we'll also cross post our runs and organziation here. If you want to raid you will need to sign up on Group Calendar at a minimum, if not also post on the forums in reply as well.  Not using Group Calendar, and not signing up for raids is a great way to not raid. If you are having trouble installing it you can post about it in this forum and we'll help you here and in game. While you might be able to raid without using Group Calendar, I wouldn't count on it.

There will be more to come as far as what we're going to need to do in order to get more people raiding who want to raid (ie leveling healers, recruiting new peeps, etc) but the start is signing up here. Don't worry. We're not forming raid teams, or installing a DKP system. We just are organizing things more, and want everyone to participate. A sure way to help us raid more, and get yourself raiding more is to be a part of the group and speak up. Sitting back and doing nothing is a great way to get unnoticed and passed over.
