Last week I wasn't around a ton so I can't speak to each day. I know that on Tuesday we easily cleared the lower citadel in ICC 25 man, and then did the raid weekly. Then a gearing run on Wednesday went off I believe, thanks to Tranq? (that can't be right). And then on Thursday we had two different 10 man teams go into ICC 10 and clear up and through Festergut. Nice. Not sure about Friday through Sunday, but on Monday there was a followup to one of the ICC 10 mans and we one shotted Rotface, and then took some stabs at Professor Putricide, and actually made some good progress on each goround. We can do that fight we need practice though.

So this week....

REMINDER IF THE RAID WEEKLY IS ULDUAR DO IT AS A 25 MAN IF YOU WANT TO RAID THE ULDUAR 10 HARDMODES ON MONDAY

---

Tonight - Tuesday, April 13th

I have a Less Rabi on the calendar. I need insane dps for this. If I can grab some top guild dps before the raid (I think I put 7:45) to show up at Gundrak and help me annihilate Less RAbi that'd be cool. I need 4 kick ass dps to help. No healers necessary (though maybe one dps who can spec healing like a shaman just for trash)

Then. 25 Man Raid night. This week we're resetting, and clearing the lower citadel again. We aren't sharding anything so the gear is going to good use, as it's filtering down to everyone who is raiding. However the goal tonight will be to clear up and through Festergut. I'd like ust to be ready to go by 8:15, in ICC and clearing trash even if we're a little undermanned by people who can't show up on the dot. By 8:30 I'd like us to have filled out the raid and be on Marrowgar. Please show up as early as you can. I'll be doing raid invites at 8-8:05pm server and getting things going as soon as it's filled out, so if we man up to 25 before 8:15 we're gonna go. If you can't make it but will be on by 8:15 or 8:20 and desparately want to go let me know and I can try and hold a spot for you.

If we can kill Festergut, then next week we'll lock the raid and take some attempts at Rotface and more on the inside of the citadel. Heck if we kill him fast enough this night, we might take some stabs on Rotface.

We will not AFK or BIO until after Saurfang is 1 shotted, so try and get your stuff ready to go. I want to speed clear the lower citdel as best we can, so that we can bio after Saurfang and have time for clearing the plauge trash and taking at least a few Festergut shots.

Wednesday, April 14th

I don't recall if something was actively scheduled on this night, but it's been more of a ToC 10 man or gearing night for those on the lower rungs of gear. ToC 10 man can get you nice weapons and offset pieces to go with your Tier 9 gear and can help in ICC tremendously if your'e still on the lower gear end. It's funny how you can see a spike in your output if you replace a Naxx or Heroic Purple with a gear value of 49 with something with a gear value 100 points or more above that.

Thursday, April 15th

Raid Night 2 Electric Boogaloo. We'll be running two ICC 10 mans. The first will be a progression run, and it will use the locked raid ID from Thursday/Monday of last week and will start on Putricide. This is for geared players who don't need the lower citadel 10 man gear, and want to push progression. Be ready for a night of wiping, and maybe if you're lucky one boss down. The second 10 man ICC will start at the bottom and gear htrough the base of ICC 10. We'll make sure we have at least a few vets on thsi team, but most likely it will be a pretty strong team in and of itself, capable of clearing through Festergut this night.  If we have more than 20 we'll run a 5 man ICC run for the lesser geared for offset pieces.

We also will be keeping track of who goes on which raid (progression vs reset) and we'll mix that up week to week, so if you go on the gearing run this week, don't worry you won't be stuck on a non-progression run forever, plus you get more EP than the progression team most likely which you can spend on next week's 25 man gear drops.

Professor Putricide (if you want to go progression you must watch the 10 man guide)

Friday, April 16th

More heroic achievements on this night? Tranq got his Glory of the Hero. We can't let him have that all to himself.

Saturday, April 17th

We're still looking to build something official for this night. An ICC 10 for those who can't play Thursdays or during the week is the idea, we've had some loose volunteers but nothing solid on this. Please talk to me if you're interested in Cat herding and leading a Saturday night ICC 10 man.

Sunday, April 18th

Old Skool raiding this night with Jurchen if he shows, otherwise whoever is on, pick an old instance and go forth and wail on it.

Monday, April 19th

This past monday we did some ICC 10 man progression stuff, but I really want to get this Algalon key done. Please help. it's considered progression so we'll get EP for it. If we get Firefighter done, we can run Algalon every week on Thursday or some other time and free up this day, and if we get Algalon down we can maybe start farming him for titles and leetsauce for whoever in the guild wants it. No horde guild has done this yet guys, but I know we can, we got so close a couple weeks ago. WE just need to work on it for a nother night and I know we have Firefighter, and then Algalon awaits. Sign up on the Calendar!

Well I'm happy. I got some kick ass dps to come help me get Less Rabi and my Glory of the Hero before the raid. Glad to have that done finally.

Also the raid went well. We were a little short out of the gate, but we filled up. A bad mixup on Marrowgar but we righted the ship. One shotted Lady Deathwhisper, Gunship, and Saurfang, and then took a number of shots on Festergut. AT this point I'm thinking we need to lock the raid for a week and take more shots on Festergut to learn it or we'll always be hung up there. We need more familiarity. Next tuesday I think it'll be Festergut, Rotface, and/or Blood Princes. Possibly just a night of learning Festergut. We SHOULD have the dps if everyone shows up.

Anyway, successfull evening all told. I had fun.

Also...

Hitting a tough, new-to-our-experience fight when everyone is drained from a full night of raiding (and a Shatner-esque Love Boat rendition) isn't going to bring the best results. A fresh-faced crew should have a better edge, and if the gear check is failed, we'll have time and options.

Achievements.

Well I got my Drake so I'm totally gonna forget this whole thing. Srsly.

Last week I got a grand total of 0 signups. The week before, it was sketchy. The prior weeks were done with the exact same five people - Mogragar, Berek, Catyna, Ogg/Ikuri, and myself. Nobody else seemed interested, unless we were going for the few they needed. The way I run it, is that if you aren't willing to help others get things they need but you don't before or after you get things you need and they don't, you're not a high priority on my list. Given that I got at least a half dozen, "Oh, tell me when you get to here" from people who never bothered signing up... well.. screw it.

The main problem I run into is that it's Friday evening, when most people are off work or school and busy doing other stuff. There's not enough people who'd want to go, that would be available. I'll put up the event, but I'm honestly not going to sit there for an hour begging people to fill in the group's gaps anymore. I'd like to push people through the achievements, since most of them are quick and easy, but not when it takes me a half hour just to find one DPS or healer.

Essentially, if we haven't got enough people on at 8:15, give or take say ten minutes, I'm not gonna waste my time on it. People just don't seem interested enough, maybe it's because I'm running it, or something.

I'm definitely interested

I'm just not around on Friday nights. Sorry.

Tonight - Thursday

We will be running two ICC 10 mans if enough people show up, we'll run more.

We have one ICC 10 man that's locked with Festergut and Rotface both down. We will send in one progression team to work on Professor Putricide, and possibly wipe all night (though if they want they can change gears and work on the Blood Princes).

The second ICC 10 man will reset and obliterate the lower citadel and try and catch up with the progression raid.

We will balance the raids so that the progression raid has a good chance at success. If you don't get in the progression raid, but show up tonight, then next time you might get to go as we'll be keeping track of who goes on progression runs, and gearing runs, so that we get everyone in there. If you don't show up, or if you drop raid because you can't go on the progression run, you'll lower your likelyhood of getting on those in the future.

Hopefully soon enough we can run two 10 man progression raids, but for now we still need people who need gear from the lower citadel so we're going to run it. Hopefully as quick as possible.

If you have more than one character, and you get assigned to the gearing raid, and your primary character needs nothing from the iCC 10 lower citadel and you want to bring a decently geared alt, you're more than welcome to do that as well as long as it doesn't affect the possible success of the raid.

Should be fun. Lets get some progression tonight!

Don't think I'll make it tonight. :(

Well, the forecast calls for 90% chance of heavy wife aggro tonight.  A severe lecture watch is in effect for the entire Richrod household, with "winds" approaching hurricane strength.

We had a tiff last night, so we will be "discussing" ways I can improve in whatever I'm terrible at this evening.  I hoping the end result is that I am still the proud owner of both my testicles on Friday.

This could go well, and I might make it, but don't hold a spot for me.  :(  Darnit, one of the few weeks where I can do 2 raids during the week, and it goes down the toilet.  At least I have tomorrow off still.

I tried to take my name off the calendar in the armory, but it didn't seem to work.  Good luck everyone!

Hopefully you'll get to make up soon :)

Sorry to hear about the impending storm. Best wishes for quickly reaching a peaceful resolution with all parties retaining their body parts.

Ruh roh.

Good luck man, just try to keep an open mind and don't listen to your imp/felguard. He never has anything positive to say.

lol

Hoke's picture

Yeah, opening the conversation with "Who dares summon me?" would probably be suboptimal.

haha

kibito's picture

I remember someone summoned their felguard while Tal was chewing ppl out on Marrowgar and he said, "Who was that!?"

Everyone had to tell him it was the felguard. hahaha.

What did he say?

Talarashne's picture

It wasn't who dares someone me, but something else...

bam

  • Voiceovers when summoned:
"Who dares summon me?!"
"You cannot command me." <------ thinks this was it.
"What happened to your friend?"
"Do not waste my time, lesser creature."
  • Voiceovers when given a command:
"A paltry task."
"Too pathetic to fight your own battles?"
"A welcome diversion."
"Your fate will be the same."
"Your time is running out."
"Enjoy this while you can."
"I will enjoy watching you die."
"You waste my time."
  • Voiceovers when dismissed:
"Do not call on me again."
"You live...for now."
"Summon me again at your peril."
"I'll be back."
  • Funny voiceover:
"I play all my records backwards, sdrawkcab sdrocer ym lla yalp I."
