is there a way to do a IRC on the side of the web page where the comments are?
Like just now i posted about punisha and would have been nice to plop over there in irc and bring it up to ogger or ikky.
just an idea if its not an easy thing no worries..

another idea... can you make
another idea... can you make it so we can delete a post? or is there a way? I am getting clumsy and did a double post earlier and i tried to edit it so it had nothing in it hoping that would delete it but no luck.
I love the IRC chat thing...
Tal actually tried to implement that at one point (so we could all have /g at work), but there was a legitimate issue that forced him to take it down. I can't recall the exact reason, but I know we had it briefly, then it had to go away.
Officers can delete posts. There were some issues with ninja-deletions of threads so Tal changed the permissions. I don't know if he can make it so you can delete your own posts, but in the meantime, just edit/flag it and an officer will come along eventually to burn it to the ground.

It would butcher the server for some reason. it was probably the plug in used that was wonky, but we ended up moving away from it.
Correct on post deletions. Doubles happen. Those that do have permissions can delete those they see. Otherwise we don't want people just coming in and deleting posts because of past situations.

I've never really used the IRC stuff, but could you use a service like lightirc.com and embed the flash client in a post and sticky it in the appropriate forum?

I remove double posts whenever I see them. I also embed pictures and links. I r awsum.
