A black tree (even Wal Mart carries them now) and replaces the silver tinsel with bunting made from bits of green tinsel, pieces of that sheet of ragged cloth-like stuff you buy at Halloween and a few naval flags using the more ominous codes. There are plenty of sites showing you how to make bunting. Perhaps a larger, black felt tree skirt with a few shells painted in greens and blacks and some ancient glyphs.
