For those looking for new headset

For ever and ever i never saw the need or want to get a nice gaming/pc headset. But when my last pair just wasn't cutting it for me (for multiple reasons) I decided to take the plunge into the more pricer market with these:

You can usually find them on sale somewhere for 10 or so dollars cheaper than the msrp.
I have been extremely happy and satisfied. they are very clear, have great built in drivers and software. good surround, nice built in bass boos for music, etc.. etc.. oh and they are very very comfortable for long gaming sessions.

Agreed!
I bought a set of these for myself and another for a now ex-girlfriend. My sister has since stolen the set I bought for myself. But never-the-less these are some great headphones. Great sound quality and a good microphone.
They are open-back ear-pieces so if you game in a noisy environment they don't block out outside sound as well as closed-back headphones will. But with the open back design they are much lighter and your ears don't get as hot and sweaty. I have also heard that an open-back design helps make them sound better, but I don't understand all the physics involved.
The ear cups are VERY large so if you have big ears our ears that stick out (like I do) these headphones wont press or bind on your ears so they are comfortable for many hours without hurting. They also have a cloth/microfiber padding around the ears that is very squishy so there are no pressure points. The head-band is well padded and expands to accommodate everything from tiny heads (my ex) to huge melons (myself).
In many ways (except size, these are large headphones) I prefer these to my Bose headphones.
Nice
Man I almost wish my mic would die out on me, I love Razer products (Even though I've only ever had one...*pets his Razer Naga mouse*). I do want to get a keyboard from them in the near future, but right now mine works so there's no rush to replace it. But it is wireless and can get a "little" frustrating sometimes when your guy gets stuck on auto run or there's an input lag...never again wireless.
Good to know
I just bought a new headset and if it doesn't behave, I'll return it and get the Razer. I got a fancy Logitech headset; my old ones didn't break, but I could not get mumble quite loud enough, even with turning the game volume way way down. Yes I know the volume levels are independent, but competing noise makes it nearly impossible to hear. Ironically I could hear mumble just fine when I ran it through my computer's speaker system.
I looked at the Razer keyboards a bit--would really like to test out the mechanical one they have, but I'm used to my G5...and yeah I have a Logitech gaming mouse too.
Also good to know that the Razer headset works well for those of us with melon heads.
