Starcom: The U.S. Space Force

How many of you 80's kids remember this one?
I remember as a teenager in 1987 waking up early (this was shown in Indy at like 7am) one Saturday morning and saw this and gave it a shot. I was hooked. The animation was top notch and it seemed more "realistic" than a lot of those funky 80's sci-fi cartoons they use to show.
I watched as many as I could then it disappeared, and I was irked to no end. Little did I know it was only shown for only a year before being cancelled.
Now it is present day, and up untill this point I could not remember what the damn series was called. Looked around at some 80's cartoons tribute sites and huzzah, I found it!
I'm gonna post some of the episodes, whether anyone besides me watches them is just fine with me :)

This is...
Pure Win Sir, Pure Win
Thx :)
It reminds me of a animated Space: Above and Beyond.
This series was really ahead of its time, I really want the whole series now on DVD. Alas, you can only get 3 episodes on DVD at the moment and it isn't cheap because it is not in production anymore.
There really is almost a cult following of this show on the internet it seems :)
Anyway, the wikipedia article shows who the forces are split up between the Starcom and and the Shadow Force.

Cartoon was ok.
I was totally in love with the toys. Starcom toys were fricking awesome!
Space Above and Beyond - The Complete Series (1995)
Yes, the complete series is available. I have had, and watched, it for a few years. And yes, epic series is epic! It's a steal at $30.00; I highly recommend it. I haven't gotten to watch this cartoon series yet, ill have to put it on next time I am gaming.

Yes :)
I keep meaning to get this too. I have a gift card from BB still. I think I just found a use for it :)
3 episodes...
Ahh. you were talking about the series being ahead of its time and only 3 episodes on DVD; i thought you were talking about Space: Above&Beyond. You were talking about the cartoon there. My mistake!
And yes Space:A&B is definitely worth that gift card.
Hehe, Yeah
The gentleman btw who uploaded all the Starcom episodes on Youtube did it from his VHS collection (which is also defunct of course and which is why the animation is not as stellar).
Somone uploaded DVD quality of the intro (with the hidden agenda of course to buy the DVD's from him)
