"There's a gun for that. Need to waste a whole room full of guys? There's a gun for that. Need to snipe the tiny little bit of head exposed from cover? There's even a gun for that."
Unfortunately, in ME2, all the biotic stuff becomes pretty useless on harder difficulties. Nothing works on enemies that have some measure of protection, and everything spawns with protection in Nightmare.
B/c they can break shields too. And with Samara's warp ability they can cleave through armor as well. I also love the over shield they get. Looks like holographic armor and when it gets knocked out it's a huge explosion and knockback! And you can usually put one right back up.
They aren't as OP as they were in Me1 though. I used to get out and fight the goliaths on foot b/c I could stunlock them with the help of someone else with lift.
I forgot about these until just now. I did this kinda thing on a few play throughs; it involves editing the game files to have two squadmates not count when added to your team, so that you go into combat alone. Makes it more challenging, since... Insanity wasn't hard enough.
It's only really possible by relying on certain quirks of the game engine. You'll note the guy doing those videos also edited the files to remove his Heavy Weapon, so he could switch with the mousewheel. Personally I found the Arc Projector made most fights easier, so I never bothered with that. Also, he only ever used Cryo ammo on his pistol or sniper rifle, since both of those have a guaranteed chance of proccing special ammo. Husks die the instant they're frozen, meaning two pistol shots can kill one on Insanity, which is the only way he kept from getting overwhelmed in a lot of cases.

Infiltrator for me, but been having a blast with the Vanguard
class as well as late. I have 4 Shepards 3 are guys and my newest is a very angry female Vanguard.
!
Vanguard. I like shotguns.
Soldier!
"This is my rifle, this is my gun; this is for fighting, this is for fun!"
Vanguard
I like the "rush n attack" style of the Vanguard. I'm playing my second game as a Soldier...tiding over till ME3 releases.
Soldier
I like that for every situation you're in, you have a gun for it.
"Need to kill a husk?"

Infiltrator with cloak = head
Infiltrator with cloak = head shot ftw.
Everybody will want your autograph.
Adept
Tearing people apart with mass effect fields has no equal.

Hmmm
I did actually enjoy The Arrival DLC because it was more of challenge when your playing solo.
Some missions during the regular play through would be very interesting doing this :)
