You can read all about it there but here are the highlights I noticed...

Path of the Titans. Gone. Archaeology retooled to be more about showing off 'lore'. Not sure what that means. Sounds like only cosmetic or vanity rewards. So we'll all be doing it. Instead we get a new tier of glyphs "medium" glyphs that will be 'fun'. Whether this includes warlock green fire I dunno. Also glyphs are permanent. you buy them once and own them, like skills. Then you can choose from a list of which ones to use. bad for Scribes who make money selling glyphs. Though they are also redoing Inscription apparently.

Guild talents and currency. Gone. There are still 25 guild levels and the guild gets experieince from doing things like killing bosses, or partcipating in rated battlegrounds, etc. Perks get handed out automatically at certain levels. Also there are guild achievements. Once you get them you can do certain things including purchasing, with normal gold, mounts for yourself with the guild tabard on them, and stuff like new heirloom items. You'll also have reputation with your guild, like any other faction. It's per character. You gain it by doing things and running instances etc. Comedy gkicks don't remove your reputation. The Guild Control UI is revamped, and the guild roster will have information on the characters including what recipees they have even when offline.

Raiding. Grim Batol is one of the first raids. Five bosses. Supposedly defeating Cho'gall the final boss on hard mode moves the "narrative' forward, so i'm guessing cutscene. Vortex Pinnacle is a new 5 man in Skywall (it's in the Elemental Plane of Air).

Most importantly if you're locked to different raid ideas you can do lots of fun things....If you're locked to a 25 man raid you can split it into 3 ID's and do 3 smaller 10 mans. You can then have those three raids pick up at the same point the 25 man stopped in the future. IE you can say raid on Tuesday with 25 man. Clear the first wing of something, then split the ID run the next bosses as 10 man in multiple groups, but then the following day get back together as 25 raiders and you're back to where the 25 man itself initially stopped. PLUS raid ID's won't be strict, so if you've killed up to say Saurfang, and someone else has kiled up to Saurfang you can combine raids. It'll be based on which bosses are downed. So you could have 3 10 mans raid up and kill Saurfang, and then on the following day shuffle those raids and run a 10 man with peopel from all 3 of those raids for the next bosses.

10 mans won't be an easier tier than 25 mans also. Same difficulty. Just more gear dropping in 25 man. That's not new info though. Also supposedly there will be more algalon like encounters. Optional opened bosses.

Skybreaker and Orgrim's Hammer are in Deepholm, but Skybreaker has shot down The Hammer. WTF. I call bullshit.

Two new battelgrounds on launch. Twin Peaks (Warsong gulch capture the flag on an Alterac Valley uneven map) and Gilneas (Arathi Basin in urban combat). Also rated battelgrounds. rated teams won't face random people only other rated teams.

One thing this indicates for me

They're definitely pushing for release sooner rather than later. The only reason they're chopping stuff out like Path of the Titans or Guild talents, is that they're not ready, and they don't ahve time for them to be ready before release, so they had a meeting sitting around a table with a whiteboard and listed out everything and decided which stays and which goes. Things like the Path of the Titans and Guild talents which were the most ambitious are gone.

To me the feelign is we'll see Beta really soon, this summer, and then full release this fall.

We needs to be gettin on Arthas!

Shouldn't be too hard to start trying soon

Blood Quarter isn't that hard, so for your lockout probably the only stumbling block in the way to start poking the Frozen Throne is Professor Putricide.  Or more specifically Putricide's third phase, holy crap.

I swear...

Prof. Putricide haunted my dreams...can't say it was a nightmare, but he popped up somewhere in my REM La La Land. I wouldn't be surprised if they add things later on in patches, that they 'cut' to make a certain dead line. Great MOAR patches and things to screw up...

I just looked over the highlights in the link...does anyone know where EXACTLY their moving the throne room for Thrall (Yes I know it's not Thrall anymore, but I will continue to call the leader of the orcs Thrall...just because). Won't this just make killing 'Thrall' that much easier?

"Players locked to a 25-man raid will have the option to split your raid ID into three parts, so you can split into three smaller 10-man raids if necessary. All three raids will pick up at the same point the 25-man raid stopped. Once split, the raid cannot be reassembled."

This makes more sense to me considering they put 10 and 25 man on the same lock-out. If all 3 of your 10 mans progress to through the same bosses I'm not sure if it will let you reform it as 25 but I'm going to guess no.

Yeah I read that wrong

There's downshifting, but not upshifting. You can break up a 25 man into 10 mans, but you can't take 10 mans and 'upshift' it into a 25 man. But you can combine raid members ont he same boss.

So if on Night 1, the 25 man raid kills boss 1 and 2. Then on Night 2 only 20 people show up so they split into 2 10 mans and both kill boss 3 and 4. On Night 3 25 people show back up but they can only run 2 10 mans as they can't upshift back into 25 man mode and kill boss 5 and 6. Then on Night 4 they only have 10 people on from the mixed 10 mans and then combine those raids into one single raid and kill boss 7 together.

Etc.

More flexibilty. I like it.

What's this...

bout 10 and 25 being the same difficulty? I still can't grasp this one, does this mean 10 and 25 man bosses are going to have the same health, damage, abilites, etc? If that's the case 25 mans are going to be uber easy mode, since I'm sure the bosses have to be designed to be accomplished both on 10 and 25 man mode.

The bosses HP and Damage will

Cile's picture

The bosses HP and Damage will scale, but they'll try to make the difficulty for the group equivalent.

Ahh ok

I figured it was something along those lines...I can be slow at times :P
