A/C  went out over a weekend and our primary router to the outside world came within 1 degree of shutting down. Everyone was just about to shit bricks. rofl

After moving all our hardware

After moving all our hardware into our new server room, the AC guys 'filled the AC unit up with too much coolant' (according to another AC guy) so the unit started shutting down without warning.  As the temp would rise one of our servers that was particularly sensitive to tempurature increases would start sending out warning emails every 30 seconds.  On nights the AC died, I would wake up to thousands of emails.  It wasn't pretty.

yeah we use Sensaphone to

yeah we use Sensaphone to report most of our environmentals temp/water/sound/humidity but as im a lowbie even though i am in charge of them and maintain/program them i'm not on the call list for it.  I told the network manager the light on it was on signaling a problem and i dont know why it didnt call anyone.  he looked at his phone and said "oh it called me but my volume was down so i didnt see it".....DOH

we just got the apc system to monitor the racks but it hasnt been configured yet so it's high threshold is like 140 degrees lol.
