Reputation Grind!

So there seems to be some more interest in some of WoW Achievements lately. Here’s a brief write-up of the reputations ones. Specifically I know we have some people working on getting the United Nations achievement (need to get 1 person in the guild with 55 reputations at exalted). Getting to 55 is actually damn tough, especially if you aren’t an original vanilla WoW raider who’s been raiding ever since. But at a more reasonable level, you can get “The Exalted” title with only 40 reps at exalted (probably going up to 50 when 4.1 goes live – fair warning).
As they appear in the WoW armory, and how to get there:
- Cataclysm
Dragonmaw Hold Clan – quests in Twilight Highlands, dailies, 85 tabard runs
Guardians of Hyjal – quests in Mount Hyjal, 85 tabard runs
Hellscram’s Reach – dailies in Tol Barad, 85 tabard runs

Frenzyheart Tribe (enemies of The Oracles) – dailies in Scholozar Basin
The Oracles (enemies of Frenzyheart Tribe) – dailies in Scholozar Basin
Horde Expedition – Collection of Northrend reputations without tabard runs or daily quests. Questing for one of these reputations will raise them all, also running 80 heroics without any tabard.

The Sunreavers – Associated with the Argent Tournament
- The Burning Crusade

What I'm grinding
There's a total of 61 reps on the list. 2 of them were broken when cata came out (who knows, they may be back in some future patch again). Aldor/Scryer and Frenzyhear/Oracles are mutually exclusive - you can't have both at the same time. Reports are iffy whether grinding out both sides counts for this achievment. Ravenholt is only possible if you are a rogue or have one donating quest items to you. For the most part you can only get to 56-57 reps, and that's if you're truely insane for achievments. To get to 55 isn't so much a matter of figuring out which ones you want to grind on, as it is a question of which 1 or 2 you just couldn't bare to do.
Personally I'm at 45 as of this afternoon (I can't edit the list above)
Cata - I still have 2 of the Cata reps to go, but that'll take care of itself once I run a few more heroics.
Wrath - I never did get around to doing either of the Sholazar tribes, but that's on the bottom of the to-do list I suppose
Burning Crusade -
Ogri'la - I've been working this one for a while, but the main quest that used to give 2k a week has been broken since 3.3 or so (8k/21k Revered)
Ashtongue Deathsworn - need lots more BT runs (8k/12k Honored)
Scale of the Sands - need lots more Hyjal runs (6k/12k Honored)
Classic -
Hydraxian Waterlords - I'm 1/2 thru honored (6k/12 Honored)
Broof of Noxdormu (AQ 40), long ways to go - (2k/3k Hostile)
Darkmoon Faire - never started (0/3000 Neutral)
Other -
The Defilers - Never was huge into PvP (2k/12 Honored)
Warsong Outriders - always hated this BG (1k/6k Friendly)
Guild - still working this one too, slowly but surely (6k/21k Revered)
For the most part you'll get to 50 doing all the "easy reputations" then it's a matter of picking 5 more from this list:
Ashtongue Deathsworn (BT)
Scale of the Sands (Hyjal)
Hydraxian Waterlords (MC)
Broof of Noxdormu (AQ40)
Darkmoon Faire
The Defilers (AB)
Warsong Outriders (WSG)
Flipping Oracles to Frenzyheart
Flipping Aldor to Scryer
(subtract 1 if you did ZG runs prior to it being removed)
United Nations - How close are we?
Don't forget me
I have 45 reps to exalted.
You're listed on there - I
You're listed on there - I actually thought you had more than 45. Maybe I miscounted.
Overall I think the point of this was to kinda list out what we, as a guild, would need to do to get to 55. Namely it may be recommended that we pool some resources to get someone exalted with Ravenholdt and Darkmooon Fair. Both of these eventually turn into just a series of turn in quests to get from revered to exalted. That, and we may want to start scheduling some regular old-school rep grinds for the old raids.
Ahhh... didn't see me
Yeah I think I only have 45, but I don't think it would be too hard to get to exalted with steamwheedle cartel. Oh, and both aldor/scryer and Oracles/Frenzyheart each count for the achievement as long as you hit exalted with one it counts, then you can switch sides and get exalted with the other. They both still count to the acheivement.
Interesting. I could swear I
Interesting. I could swear I have 48 but I could be high.
It looks like we could get Kathunk a few reps easily - scale of sands is trivial to grind out, 2-3 weeks. Guild rep is just a function of time. That would bring the number to 44 and that leaves a few options :
- Guild contributions to farm the AH for DMF cards
- BGS BGS BGS (I would not condemn any soul to this fate)
- MC runs for Hydraxian Waterlords. It's not that bad... until revered
Has there been a confirmation that we need one person to have 55 unique reps for it to count? Also, it may be that the new firelands areas are going to introduce another rep as they are meant to be daily hubs.
Could be - it's actually
Could be - it's actually pretty tough to pull from the armory. There's a few reps that just don't show up (like Hellscream's Reach). You can see the achievment to see if someone has 40, 45 or 50, but where in between there they are just comes down to counting.
I'm actualy close
The reps that I have left are all easy ones with most of them either tabard or daily reps, it's just a bitch to get on, if I do all the daily/tabard reps I'll be up to 53 and I'm one Hyjal run away from Scale of the Sands so I just need to pick another probably ashtongue and I can have it done
Thack
Looks like he needs Ashen Verdict and Ashtongue Deathsworn. Both are easy to get. Ashen Verdict is just clearing trash in ICC and resetting up to Marrowgar. We can easily do that in a night. Ashtongue Deathsworn is just clearing BT a few times - I hit Exalted with them the other night.
After that it's just one more, probably Scale of the Sands would be best.
reputation
Ah, my favorite WOW topic of all. Even though in this guild of overachievers I'm not in the top 9, I have had "the Exalted" title for some time now and I think I'm sitting at 42 reps. I'm up for the old school grinding and if anyone is going to kara let me know and I'll come along. I thought the Battle for Mt Hyjal/Scale of the sands had gone away. Glad to hear it didn't. I can't believe we have 7 exalted in Thorium Brotherhood.
Speculation on firelands dailies is it's either a new faction or Hyjal dailies.
Kathunk's 55th rep won't be easy. I'd recommend Hydraxian.
Aighty...
45 for me.
Classic:
Argent Dawn
City Faction:
Burning Crusade:
Lich King:
Guild:
PVP:
Note:
The guild achievements for earning exalted reputation with factions (Ambassador, Diplomacy, and United Nations) have been fixed to now correctly count cumulative guild members with exalted factions. Previously, these achievements would only count exalted factions on one guild member.
Translation : We're probably there.
4.1 I think
We're still at 52/55 for the guild achievement
Yes
That was in the patch 4.1 notes. I just wanted Thack to know that he can probably stop if he wants to. I believe someone recently got Exalted with Hydraxian Waterlords, and although it isn't captured in Mage's analysis above as long as we have someone in the guild who is Exalted with the scryers then we have our 55.
!
Alerex's hunter is Exalted with Hydraxian Waterlords, and I know I am Exalted with Scryers so I'm sure others are too. So good to know! :)
Oh no...
Thack is an achievement whore. There's no stopping him. I'm tagging along b/c I also want to get to 55 exalted reps. I may have to grind from exalted Aldor to Scryers for it though. =(

Reputation addon
I friend hooked me up with this addon....' factionizer '....if you are using curse client...do a search ' fact ' and it will come right up...It is an in-game addon which attaches to your Character screen when you click on the ' reputation' tab. By clicking on a faction, factionizer will open a seperate tab attached to your reputation tab. The additional tab will give you quests, mobs to kill, instances, reputation gained by the latter, quests names, etc....No more wowjuju and it's outdated website...An excellent resource for those in search of titles, achievements or past/present professional patterns.

Help With Guild Rep Grind - Ravenholt
I could really use a couple of folks to do WG at least a couple times on Tues so I can get all the quests and that rep. I'm at L83 so I can't do TB or BH. The last week or so there are at least 2 Alliance 85 that show up and camp the GYs. Then there is Mojojojo and a few people he's paid to help him but they can't do BGs for shit. That leaves me and the odd player every once and a while.
I know Aristanae and at least one other is also doing the Insane in the Membrane and we require something either 1400 or 14,000 large junkboxes (can't find my writeup.) These have to be looted by rogues and I've been told told LBRS is great for that. I will pay 25g a box or swap services, other rep items or crafting mats as well. My rogue is only L11 (Faramiran, the obnoxious new Forsaken.)
