The Ranks of the guild are as follows....

--- (Ranks requiring Authenticators which are considered Officers) ---

Rank 0 - Our Dear Leader Tal Jong Il, may he gloriously translate the true wishes of Our Eternal Leader Buh, as he spreads Rainbows and Dreams across our lands.

Rank 1 - Politburo - Formerly known as "Loremasters". Politburo membership is not for your peasant's eyes. Be happy in your work comrade for the politburo ensures your continued survival by creating new 5 year plans.

Rank 2 - Commissar - Formerly known as "Raid Princess". Commissar is appointed by the Politburo, and are given the responsibility for forming and organizing our offensive operations on the southern front. Failure to serve adequately indicates need for re-education and "vacation".

Rank 3 - Presidium - Formerly known as "Elders". Presidium membership is by invitation of the Politburo. Includes car, driver, Dacha outside the capital, as well as man to follow you around and shoot you in the head if you get impertinent.

Rank 4 - Bolshevik - Formerly known as "Pathfinders". This is the 'standard member of the guild' rank for people with an authenticator and who have been around awhile as a Comrade and member of the party.

--- (Ranks Not Requiring Authenticators) ---

Rank 5 - Comrade - Formerly known as "Wardens" as well as "Seekers". This is the new 'standard member of the guild' rank. This is also the max rank for people without an authenticator.

Rank 6 - Komsomol - Formerly known as "Prospects" who must prove their loyalty to the party. Failure to prove loyalty results in either glorious work detail in quarry, or expurgation (also known as board with nail in it applied to head).

Rank 8 - Inactive - Formerly known as "Archived Members". Occasionally I will go through and clear out players or alts that haven't been touched in a half a year or more. If you go inactive, and then come back to find yourself unguilded, contact a member of the party for a reintroduction. We used to not kick people after a time, but it got ridiculous how many inactive canceled accounts we had on our roles.

Rank 9 - Dissident - This rank can listen to guild chat, but cannot speak in guild. This is the rank for those who have caused trouble such as Capitalistic Bank Corruption.

Rank 10 - Siberian Gulag - Those that require punishment are sent to the Gulag for reedcuation. This rank cannot even read guild chat.

Q: I'm a Komsomol and I'm wondering when I'll be promoted.

A: If you've been in the guild longer than a month, you should get a promotion to Comrade, as long as you seem worthy. If you're still sitting at Komsomol after that time talk to a Presidium member (or higher) and mention this post. The fact you haven't been promoted is either a paperwork oversight, or a capitalist conspiracy.

Q: I'm a Comrade and I'm wondering when or if I'll get promoted to Bolshevik.

A: There is no set or defined way to become a Bolshevik, but you MUST have an Authenticator. If you have no authenticator you can not be promoted to Bolshevik.

Generally though Bolsheviks are expected to be socially active members of the guild: posting regularly here on the website, participating in guild chat discussions, and chatting in Vent. If you stay quiet, rarely talk, never check the website, do your own thing, raid occasionally, but don't say much when you do....you'll probably stay a Comrade. This is not bad. Comrade is a real member of the guild. If you want to be a Bolshevik however, the best thing you can do is to 1) Talk to our Dear Leader Tal Jong Il about your interest in a promotion to Bolshevik and 2) participate more heavily on the website, and in guild chat in the game, in Mumble if possible, and in guild activities such as Raids or PVP Nights. If you're fairly active in the guild you'll get a promotion. Even if you're not all that chatty after a certain amount of time we'll bump you anyway just for being a long time member, however a socially active member can make Bolshevik fairly quickly (within 2-6 months).

Q: How do I get to be the Natural Order Prom Queen

A: Aren't you paying attention? We no longer have an official Prom Queen rank. The Natural Order Prom Queen is Kassia. If you want the title you'll have to rip it from her cold dead hands. She even has the t-shirt.

Q: I'm a Bolshevik, but I want to be a member of the Presidium. What can I do?

A: Talk to Talarashne and he can guide you on what you'd need to do to become a member of the Presidium.

Some people just aren't suited for it. Being a Bolshevik is in no way an insult if you never get a promotion. We have poeple who have been in the guild for years longer than you have and are Bolsheviks. It's the veteran rank. Officer ranks are not just members however, but they are expected to lead. Expected to control a dramabomb should one go off and they're the only ones online. If we don't feel someone can manage a dramabomb, or lead a guild activity, then they're probably not going to become a member of the officer corps. This doesn't mean that you CANT do it, or that you never led anything, just that we haven't necessarily seen evidence of it, or enough of it, or the right style of it, or we just have been distracted by shiny objects. Also there is a social aspect as well. If you're brusque, or not very social, we don't know you very well and your'e not going to get the promotion. It's a completely irregular thing. some Presidium are made such in months, others take over a year before they get the nomination.

Once Talarashne or another member of the Presidium feels a Bolshevik is warranted discussion on becoming a member of the Officer Corps, a post gets made in the officer forums of this website, and discussion ensues. Sometimes it's heavily in favor and the person is promoted. Sometimes it's heavily in the negative and theyr'e not. Sometimes it's heavily in favor and Tal or a member of the Politburo nixes the promotion. Sometimes Tal just ignores the post entirely and you're fucked.

Also if you get pissy about not being an officer, you'll probably never be made officer. The Officers don't like people who badger them to become officers as if it's something they deserve. They like making officers of people who act like officers, and through those actions deserves it. Best to be yourself, have fun, play the game, and whatever happens will happen.

Q: Why do Ogg, Storlivras, Melindra, Jaleika and Ikuri get "Special Ranks" and I don't?

A: Because they paid me. Duh.
