Old Skool is in session, first lesson UBRS/BWL

So after the hard start to last weeks Old Skool night I have decided to put down all that I know (not that much) about every Old Skool place so anyone can pick up a raid, get everyone attuned and curb stomp the place dead.

So in honor of me hopefully not killing my brother this Sunday as I will most likely not be on, I give you the lesson on UBRS for BWL attunment and then BWL.  Don't worry there will be a test at the end, your scores will directly affect your EPGP score.

To start with you need to get to blackrock mountain.  The quickest way is to take a portal to any Horde city then take the portal mto badlands.  From there head north to stonard then fly from their to either Flame Crest, or Thorium Point.  To start the attunement quest you have to find the elite mob called "Skarshield Quartermaster", kill him and loot the quest item.  Everyone must loot the quest item.  From there head on into the instance.

UBRS stands for Upper BlackRock Spire.  It occupies the same space as the five man instance Lower BlackRock Spire (LBRS) To get to the UBRS portion of the instance you go up the ramp to the left of the entrance of the instance.  You then have to kill all of the mobs in each room. After they all die the glowing rune on the floor will go out in an explosion of fire.  After they are all extinguished the doors will open.  You then come into a room with warlocks banishing an elemental.  To go further you have to click the little altar thing.  It might take a couple of tries but eventually the warlocks will break off and attack you.  Kill them, kill the elemental and then go through the door.  Clear trash until the next boss, you'll notice it by the arena with all the dead bodies in it.  Make sure that the whole raid jumps down to prevent any evade glitches.  Now you will need to only have two people killing the incoming waves of trash because if you kill the boss to quickly he will not dismount properly and you will be stuck there.  So make sure that only two people kill the waves, AND that he dismounts.  After that all of the fights are self explanatory.  After the final boss make sure EVERYONE with the quest touches the orb.  Once they have done that everyone should be attuned so you can head on over to BWL.

BWL stands for BlackWing Lair.  To get to it you go down the hallway from UBRS and click on the orb similar to the one you clicked on to complete the attunement.  This will then teleport you to BWL.  This first boss is in the first room, what has to happen is that two people will take turns clicking the orb and mind controlling the boss, they will then use the mind controlled boss to destroy all of the eggs.  While this is happening adds will come out that need to be killed.  The two people who are mind controlling need to be able to talk on vent as they have to communicate when to switch.  Kill the eggs, then kill the boss.  Note that at this point the instance will probably glitch and the adds won't stop spawning, To fix it simply have everyone zone out for five to seven minutes.  After the glitch is solved go into the next room for the next boss.  The only thing that you need to know is that people will die as he puts a debuff on raid members that will debuff their health to zero.  Next comes the BEST part of the instance the supression room.  There is no way around it so just slowly run through it until you get to the boss.  Now when engaging the boss make sure that your back is to a pilar or wall as he will knock you down to the first level and you will need to run all the way back up again.  After him are the goblin labratories, these are the guys who drop elementium ore and eventually the book on how to smelt elementium.  There will be three drake bosses that will pat around, on all of them no one but the tank should be infornt of it as they do a hurtful breath attack.  After all of that is done you go to the next room which contains the coolest looking corehound in the game.  Now he will do debuffs that need to be purged, he goes through every type of debuff so make sure that your decurser is on.  the only one that dosn't require a purge is the bronze one which you purge by using sand that you have looted from the goblins in the previous part.  After he is dead and gone you only have Nefarious left.  He starts out as a simple fight, the raid will cluster at the bottom of the steps to his throne and you will need to kill something along the lines of 45 adds.  Once they are all dead Nefarious in dragon form will come down and attack, while he is coming down everyone BUT a tank will run around and hide behind the throne, the breath that he does WILL kill 80s.  The tank will then position Nefarious so that his side is facing the raid. DPS him and deal with all the different tricks he does, also make sure that there are fear wards down as you do not want an out of position shadow flame on the raid.  At around 30% he will revive all 45 adds that you should AOE down, kill them kill him and celebrate because you have succesfully completed BWL.
