I'm not a copyright lawyer. If they email me and say it's an infringement I'll pull em down / change em.
Or we can be proactive. We have artists in guild. Anyone want to make a tree-ish logo symbol that's our own we can use, close enough to the one on the tabard and website, but different enough to claim as our own?

I draw and oil paint but I haven't got a scanner ATM. I think my brother has a working one so I could do a design and the email the file to Kassia. My copy of PS is so old I finally had to delete it. I want Painter really bad and to get all my Abode programs upgraded. Gonna have to wiin the lottery though.

I really don't believe we have anything to be concerned about. The first thing Blizzard would do is issue a cease and desist order, which we could easily comply with. Secondly there's an issue of image for Blizzard. They have to make efforts to stop large scale operations not only to protect their right to confront them in courts for later cases, but to protect their contracts with companies like jinx. On the other hand they also want to keep their community relatively calm, openly fighting a single guild isn't going to gain them anything shy of the disdain of some players, and bad press.

If anything we'll, or cafepress, will get a random cease and desist and we pull it down. I think if we just use the guild symbol though and don't market it we're probably not gonna get harrased. First of all they have to find it, second of all it has to be seen as a problem.
I think if I put the horde symbol up and was selling pure warcraft shirts they might get more upset, but a guild t-shirt, I have a feeling they'll let it slide.
