Military Recipes

For some strange reason as of late I've been missing some recipes they use to serve us while I was in the Navy. The big one for me was BBQ Beef Cubes, I loved that :) Little did I know though I am probably going to need a pressure cooker for some of these recipes since the Navy loves to use their steam kettles.
Anyway here is the link, just beware that every recipe is how they would prepare and cook it aboard ship (or any other military installation). So in the case of BBQ Beef Cubes I won't be getting 30 lbs of meat :P.

fuuuuuck!
S.o.S. I loved that shit, and the weird non tomato based meat sauce for the spaghetti..
Green eggs and ham do exist!

CCP... they have specialized instructions for the creators of EVE Online?
Man, I could probably have
Man, I could probably have filled a small cookbook with repicies that only included ingredients found in MREs. Living off nothing but bag dinners for like 3-4 months will do that for you. But at this point I think I've repressed the memories. Nowadays I'm not even sure I could tell you which MREs come with the shake powder drink mix (which is the base for about 1/2 the recipies out there).
You get to the point where every single meal tastes the exact same - whatever the hell that damn preservative is that keeps green eggs and ham "fresh" for like 10 years. I remember recently opening up a can of beef stew or something, and it had that exact same smell. Whatever it was, I just chucked in the garbage on the spot. Better to go for some cold cereal or something.
was the beef stew "Dinty Moore?"
if it was they actually made the beef stew for the MRE's
ppl hated it, but i actually enjoyed #4, Omelete and ham....on the cracker, with the cheese, and doused in Tabasco..Cold!
MRE
All I remember is after hubby being out in the field for a month or two and coming home was I could not stand to be anywhere near his stinky MRE farts for a couple of weeks.
