so in my time of not being able to play WoW, i picked up a new crafty little hobby.. making corsets! it's been a challenge, but it's wicked fun :) the blue one in the pictures is one i'm in progress on now for my reniassance fair costume, and the green/red one is part of my halloween costume/just for fun :P (and the owl fabric is my lining in them, it's so soft and cute! makes me happy knowing i have little owls on me :P)

they start out something like this..

with a bunch of metal rods (bones) like this..

 

 

and with much love, turn into this! :)

i actually made this up on my own, but it's loosely based on a corset from here: http://www.mantua-maker.com/catalog.html i think it's #1880-12 1870-1895 corset pattern

Damn Kass, that's really well done.  It seems like corsets are the female uniform at the club I hang out at, so I've seen quite a few, and this is among the best I've seen.  Are you going to make any over bust ones, or just under bust?

 

BTW, I think your fly is open.

eh, it's only half open. (i just checked haha)

i think i'm going to stick with underbusts for now, with my figure an overbust is a whole different can of worms, and probably more of a challenge to just get it to fit right. (these were a pain in the ass too, the pattern i used is for an overbust corset that goes over the hip like mine does.. but it doesn't actually go over the hip so i had to alter it to do so)
