Kibito and Tartare told me to write a Boomkin guide. I dunno what to write. I just boom when I'm not healing... Here's what I do...

Gearing

I stack my boomkin gear with leather gear that has intellect and stamina (but not spirit) and then a variety of stats, crit, mastery, haste, hit, etc.

I fill in the gear holes with leather that has spirit on it (it'll convert to hit).

I haven't reforged anything. I'd imagine to try and get your hit up to where it's decent, and then stack crit or mastery. I've done no research on it, and don't plan to. So if your'e using this as a guide, meh. fuck off.

In Instances

Make sure you're in boomkin spec. That helps. Also be sure to actually use your boomkin form. It really adds to your dps, and survivablity. Who knew.

Rotation

Boomkin casting is all about swinging back and forth between lunar and solar eclipses. Cast order....

1. Starsurge. Cast this whenever it is available. Whenever it procs for an instant cast, and whenever it's just available to be cast with a cast time. Cast it.

2. Pop Starfall if you're on a boss fight or nothign is cc'd and nothing else is nearby. It's got a big range, so it can pull other trash if your'e not carefull.

3. Pop your treants. Target it onto the boss or trash.

Those three pop them whenever they come. Cast Starsurge, Starfall, and Treants whenever they're available.

---

4. Cast Moonfire/Sunfire whichever is live, and Insect swarm. Do your best to keep these up on bosses or mobs with high health. If the mobs are low health don't bother casting these as they're dots. they need 10+ seconds of life in a target to do meanifull dps for the cast. Keep Moonfire/Sunfire and Insect Swarm up as much as possible in those circumstances.

---

After the first starsurge you'll see an indicator on your boomkin thingy. If it's heading to the right then you need to cast Starfire. If it's heading to the left you need to cast Wrath. If your'e going right, towards a solar eclipse cast starfire....again and again and again. Once you proc Solar Eclipse and cast Wrath and push the bar back to the left by casting wrath again and again and again.

---

That's it. Starsurge, Starfall and Treants whenever they are available. Keep Moonfire/Sunfire and Insect Swarm up on targets not about to die. Cast Starfire or Wrath depending on which eclipse is going to proc and cast it until you proc and then switch to the other.

---

That's all I know. Gear with those pieces, cast like that and you should be fine.

Or not.

I really have no idea.

I think I read that Starfall will not hit mobs that are not in combat.
