Jaleika + Art = Fun
I know people have been asking me to draw stuff since Tartare drew his picture of Malky, but seeing as my job has me keeping utterly bizarre hours for a while longer that's not likely to happen any time soon. That said, I know Euph at least knows that I draw and wanted to see more of the sort of things that I do, so here's a few things from the old art folder in the meantime.
I've always been uncomfortable drawing myself (self-image issues), so I typically use this character as a stand-in. Prehensile-tailed porcupine and Pacific giant octopus hybrid.

I liek extinct mammals. A member of an extinct mammalian group (Litopterna) from the Pleistocene of South America.
I used to play this character before I started on MMOs.
One of my favorite designs. The character on top was a request design (pine marten/flame-faced tanager); the second is one of mine (least weasel/spotted eagle ray).

I was always fasinated with
pre-historic/ice-age type mammals, to me they were creepier and cooler looking than dinosaurs.
Take this gal:

I will always have a soft spot for dinosaurs, but there's a whole lot of bizarre crap recorded in the rocks from the other 350-odd million years that tends to get overlooked a lot.
E.g. Early protomammals (synapsida):
The animals that kodos were based on (Bronthotheres), early hoofed mammals like the Uintathere above:
And, of course, the horrible crocodile-like. . . thing. . . that eventually gave rise to modern whales (Ambulocetus):
And here's one more from me, the clawed perissodactyl Moropus elatus from the Miocene of North America:

Sam go over to Japan and start drawing up some Pokemon or something, just bust into Nintendos HQ and be like..."This is what I want and your gonna give it to me!" (Insert sexual explicit joke here).
Just outta curiosity, did you do these drawings with pen and paper or on one of those PC pad things?

Pencil and paper for the original drawing, micron pens of various weights for inking, and then cleanup in Photoshop using the Wacom tablet that right now is in one of the 2342346709 boxes currently piled in my parents' garage.
I think I'm going to be doing black-and-white pieces for a bit if I get that far.

It's a squirrel. Crossbred with an octopus. Does it come in mechanical variations? I can only imagine the mischief a mechanical, tentacled squirrel could get into. Somehow I'm not surprised you'd come up with that...
