Important announcement for PvP players

in
Blizzard just confirmed today: PvP gear vendors in Dalaran are BUGGED.
Tooltips for Wrathful Gladiator gear (ilevel 264) are incorrectly stating they require a personal arena rating. In fact, all arena gear rating requirements have been removed.
You can now buy BiS PvP gear (including weapons) for honor in Dalaran Sewers.

PVP SUCKS... LRN2RAID
Old news is old
PvE gear has been better for PvP then most PvP gear since wrath launched.
Except that I bought Wrathful
Except that I bought Wrathful Gladiators Longbow last night, it is a much better weapon than my ICC 10 man bow....
That's because
ICC 10 is 251 gear. Wrathful is 264.
The ICC 25 bow is likely just as good as the Wrathful and until this patch was far easier to get. Wrathful was the first gearset this entire expansion where pvp gear was relatively in line with equivalent pve gear. Before it, pve geared ret paladins were 2 shotting people and the strongest pvp trinket in the game was Deathbringer's Will.
I don't have much honor, but
I don't have much honor, but I think I'll hold onto it until Cata anyway. With the ranked battlegrounds I'll probably be involving myself more in pvp come cata.
Shoulders and 270s
Don't forget for some classes PvP weapons MAY be better, they are lvl 270 weapons. One thing to still take notice, no one seems to be able to buy the Wrathful shoulders, it's the one item that still requires a rating.
If you plan on doing rated BGs come Cata, getting up on the latest Wrathful might give you a nice edge starting out, some resil is better than none.
