ICC 10 Alt/Gearing Run - 8/29***, Sunday at 8:10pm

oh, also, um....8/22 was like 2 days ago...so on sunday, are you going to force everyone who signed up to go back in time to raid?

and you might want to change the date, 8/22 was last week.

I'd like to get in on this one if there is space.  I have gotten my gear up to 4/5 Tier 9, 1/5 Tier 10 and have gotten out of the gear lockouts, but I can not really upgrade my weapons outside of 10 or 25 man raids now.

Also, is there a calendar somewhere in the forum or are we using some form of calendar add-on?

Jox and Mel - I actually created a time machine. 8/22 may have looked like a typo, but it was really a tear in the space - time continum, sorry about that. All is well now.

That's what holds me back from signing up.  I've watched most of them on Tankspot, but it's never the same as actually being in the fight.

I'm in full T9 and have my frost cloak.  Working on bracers, belt and rings now.

Is that sufficient for a noob tank or is more required?

If we expected everyone to be an expert before they set foot into an ICC boss fight, then no one would raid.

Watching the videos just gives you an idea of what to expect but it's not the same as actually experiencing the fight. I would say if you have ilvl219 gear at least, and your T9 set, then you're in good shape to start raiding. Plus keep in mind that these are alt raids, so you'll have experienced raiders in there with you to help guide you along through the fights. Basically you'll be in good hands.

For the past few alt runs me and Roobik have been tanking lower cit and it's been going fine from what I can tell. It's not a guarantee that Roobik will always be there, but don't forget we have dps slots as well. I know Roobik also has dps alts, if you ever wanted to try your hand at oT.

We also always ask and usually give a quick explanation of the fights before we do them  and sort out any questions. Lower Cit isn't that bad and as Iky said, your life is in our hands...MUAHAHAHAHAH *cough*......

Yah, my DPS gear is mostly PvP as I have focused on gearing for tanking and still have a Blue 2H Axe.  An OT role would be perfect.  Now to sign up and hope the stars align and I can get in game to participate.  X).

I'm excited about this run as well.

I'm new to the guild, but my tank set has hit the ceiling that I can get it to with only heroics.  My ret set ain't bad either.  I'll be on tonight, I hope it isn't full.

Thank you to everyone who came out and stuck with the raid last night! Grats to everyone who got some new gear, I really don't think we sharded anything...which is a great thing to see.

It was an alt run first for downing Rotface, but Festergut gave us the slip. I don't have a doubt in my mind that we couldn't do it, but it was getting rather late and not everyone could keep going. Seeing as how people still trust me with their lives...which is scary...I'll put up another alt run again for next Sunday since that seems to be the thing now.

Special thanks to our healers they did an amazing job as well as our dps, very good numbers! Also another special thanks to Safardeya for tanking and doing a bang up job at it and also Censura for offering and tanking the heavy hitting Festergut. Also on a side note I don't want to use also anymore, I've used also way too many times....also.

Glad to hear that the alt runs are going well! I'll have to get in there on Xianne and come help with tanking duties at some point.

This run went really, really well.  Xyro did a fantastic job with the raid leading duties, he was confident but wasn't afriad to admit he didn't know some parts of fights.  We had several other (Cardhu comes to mind) people who did a great job filling in the blanks.

This was my first Natural Order raid and it was one of the best and most enjoyable raids I've been on in a very long time.

See the trick with the "mom voice" is that I use it and scare people into doing as they're told. Then I use the "bedroom voice" and it just gets them all confused. Keeps everyone on their toes.

Is there some kinda late night, no kids allowed raid I've been missing? :P

That was literally the very first time I stepped inside the citadel and am very pleased I did.  The entire night was awesome with some nice surprises.  I didn't think we'd finish the lower citadel given our gearing yet we made it to the upper spire.

Big kudos for Xyro leading this and continuing to do so.  I look forward to future raids of the ALT variety. =)  

what do y'all think of locking the raid after lower/rotface/fester next time and picking up from there the following Sunday? Now that most of us know the fights on lower citadel I think we could breeze through this pretty quickly. It would be interesting to see just how far we could go.

I'd say that if the weekend group wants, you can always clear Lower Cit one night, then go back the next night for more. Once you are at the point where you are sharding most of the 10man gear, then it's time to push forward. I am all for a weekend progression group going - whatever gets more people their Kingslayer titles before Cata. ;)

I wouldn't be opposed to it, but I don't think we sharded anything on our alt run, if we did it may have been one or two things...which means people are still getting gear, which is what I like to see. I know I personally can still use another axe from gunship, I'm still toting a ToC 10 man as my oH. I really have no idea what else drops pre gunship for my tank, guess I gotta load atlasloot again.

Also if people don't mind doing continuation on Mondays, I guess we can make this a two night event. Again if people are still getting and need gear from Lower Cit, I really don't want to lock us out of it by saving the lock till the following Sunday. Not to say there won't be a point where we don't need anymore gear from Lower, just right now I know some people can really use some stuff there. And seeing as how our other 2 10 mans and 25 man are on solid prog, this is kinda of the only gearing people will get until we kick the Lich Kings ass...again.

Also don't forget, you can still be getting t9 sets, trinks and off-pieces during the week from Triumphs and Frosties...if you have enough that is :P
