Hunter update

- 8 new rare tamable beasts have been added, each of which provides a unique taming challenge. Will you be the first hunter to tame Deth'tilac, the rarest and most powerful of them all? Players will need to progress through the Hyjal Regrowth and Molten Front daily questing areas in order to unlock access to the full gamut of taming challenges.
So have hunters become Pokemon trainers or something?

HA!
Seriously they have, lol.
I sort of want to bust out my
I sort of want to bust out my old hunter and find pets to name after Pokemon and each time I summon said pet have my hunter /y "I choose you Chocofoxosaurus!"
Maybe rename my hunter too, have to make sure he's a blood elf also for this.
My hunter has a summon macro...
...based on this comic... :)
Ah!
I always wondered where that was from :)
I guess they missed the old days
Having not played a hunter very much, and not for a very long time, wasn't it a "gotta catch 'em all" game way back in the day (tm)? Different pets had different abilities you could/had to learn from them to teach to the pet you wanted to use?
I wonder what the challenges will be like; sounds like it might be an interesting new way to hunt for a rare "vanity" pet.
Those days...
...were the BEST days. I know that I chose Hunters because they had their own sort of private mini-game. The day they changed pets, I hung up my rifle for good.
I agree, I would love to
I agree, I would love to bring my hunter back but it just doesn't play the same. I hate the new mechanic, it feels clunky and I liked how different pets used to be.
Really?
you want to go back to the day where all hunters had the same pet b/c it did the most DPS or b/c it had the fastest chase speed?
You want to go back to having to spend how much gold on ammunition for running instances/raids/solo'ing?
You want to have only 3 pet slots and need to keep one open to b/c you need to tame a random pet (including a couple instance only pets) and then have to run into MELEE with that pet so you can learn a skill that you then need to teach the pet you actually use?
You really want to go back to having to level some new cool looking pet from whatever level it was to level cap?
Meh, I think hunters are fine the way they are now.
Hunters are fine
Nerf Druids. Take away Bear Form.
sure.
but then we'd need to wear plate and gain the ability to self heal as well. Do you really want that???? =D
Ok, ok...in some ways the
Ok, ok...in some ways the hunter class is better. Get rid of the fake ass rogue wanna be power bar energy crap then I'd play my hunter again. I can't stand focus, makes what should be a fast shooting ranged class feel slow and tired. Maybe I've been watching too much GW2 trailers and how every class can actually move around and shoot/cast/swing a weapon.
here's the first one.
you need to take off all your armor. b/c it does damage based on your armor value. I guess this will also keep anyone else from trying to kill these rare spawns.
You don't have to get the pets
It's only if you want to be the very best, like no one ever was
Think of catching them as your real test, and training them your cause.
It might be interesting to travel the land, searching far and wide.
Because you might find out with each new pet, a new power that's inside.
POKEMON!
I think everyone that
I think everyone that comments on somone else's spec, class, race, just need to fuck the hell off and learn to play there own spec, class, race with the time they save.
What if...
...it's Nordberg, who I think at this point may have at least done heroics with every race-class-spec combo. Seriously, that motherfucker is dedicated.
Not quite
I've never gotten a druid past level one. Fuck 'em.
