I've considered doing this,
I've considered doing this, but I mainly push soloing for the payouts. Regs drop relatively low amounts of gold, since it's only intended to be divided 5 times. Old raids can pay out nice though. Sapphiron and Anub in Naxx 10 are both doable from my experience, as are others from what I've heard, but haven't tried/killed. Al'ar and Void Reaver in Eye are pretty nice jackpots at 250g a pop. I think Solarion might be doable with a disengage spec, but I died to fall damage in my attempts. My current project is Archavon, I tried it in MM spec thinking I would need the extra healing, but I hit the enrage at 40%. I think after MM gets its buffs I'll try it again, or else I'll have to try and survive it in an SV spec with spirit bond, which will be touchy I think, but should make up the rest of the damage I need.

Yes, I'm considering off-specing demonology for the first time just to help with difficult soloing situations. I tried unsuccessfully as destro to solo Magtheridon's Lair. Looks very possible as demo. Maybe I could justify it as a PVP spec also...

I tried doing this a week or two ago on my DK in Blood Spec, it is very much doable, buuuuuuuut he kind of despawns mid way through the encounter. If Blizzard hasn't fixed it yet supposedly he drops around 500g, I attempted him 2 or 3 times and he despawned everytime when those elemental looking adds pop up....any ideas? Am I missing a mechanic? I'd try to kill the adds, but I think they have around 1.5mil health and there's like 5 or 6 of em...yea, no.

If you're talking about the infernals, according to the warlock solo guide, they are supposed to be ignored as they despawn shortly after the casters are killed. Idk why Mags is despawning for you. Must be a bug or something I don't know about.

Damn, I finally got around to soloing a few bosses in Kara. I suppose a frost mage isn't exactly the best char to try to solo stuff with though.
