Heroic Dungeon Achievements Team

I want to run something but I'm not sure about the logistics. I'd like to start grinding away at the heroic dungeon achievements once a week and try to do 2-3 dungeons at a time and get the majority of achievements in each one - in a best case scenario this would mean that every 3 weeks people would get their stone drake. I'm happy to contribute to this for multiple cycles, even if I complete my drake on the first one. The challenges I'm facing are as follows:
Timing : At this point the only consistently free night is Sunday. I could run this counterpoint to something like Old Skool Night or Progression, but that limits the involvement of people interested in those things, and I'd prefer not to compete. If I did run this on the same night I woul try to run it earlier, maybe starting around 6 server.
Composition : I'd like this experience to be as fun and easy as possible for the people involved, and so the ideal composition is 1 Tank, 1 Healer, 2 DPS and 1 Healer/DPS Swapper. The ability to 2-heal on boss fights makes a number of these achievements significantly easier, to the point of being trivial, and I think consistancy in earning achieves is key. Are there any people in the Healer or Swapper role who would be willing to contribute?
Inclusion : As I said above I'd be happy to contribute to this for multiple cycles, but I can't speak for any other players and I don't want to cause any drama because people feel left out. Would it make sense to gather volunteers on the forums (perhaps via this post) and send out targeted invites, or just send out a general sign-up and try to form teams with the above composition? My inclination is the former, but I'm willing to take advice.
Finally, is anyone in the DPS, Healer or Swapper roles above interested in doing this, right now, starting on Sunday nights? Within 3-4 weeks or so we could have our stone drakes, and then try to figure out how to swap more guildies in to get them their achievements.

dang
I'd love to do this, but I can't usually log on until late Sunday night and then I don't have time to run 2-3 instances.
Well...
I'm flexible on timing as long as I'm not stealing your tanky bearness or whatever from a guild run that really needs you. I would put it like this - if we can find a time that isn't going to hurt the guild, I'm open to it, but I'm also on the Eastern coast and so my timeframe (up to 11 Server) may be a poor match for some folks.
My only two issues with this
My only two issues with this would be having it coincide with an existing event. You may not mean to but in the end it will pull people back and forth from one or the other. I also don't think Target invites are a good idea. I would just put it up on the calender and allow folks to sign up and rotate those that have to sit out each week.
The problem with rotating...
...is that every week you'll get people who don't need achieves at all in the dungeon(s) you are doing and will want someone else to take their spot. The logistics of selecting dungeons fairly gets to be an issue, and while I have no problem setting a schedule and sticking to it, I also don't want to end up with a run where I have to take a hard-line and then PuG slots.
It would be better to rotate once per full-clear. So 9 dungeons, trying for every achievement in each, rotate every 3 weeks. Some achieves might get missed, but people can fill that out with targeted spot runs which will give other folks secondary chances. In the short-term, if people didn't want to wait for the rotate they could form their own run, and could even share slot without concern.
The problem here is that we
The problem here is that we have a strict policy against setting "teams", even if there just temporary. I dont think you could exclude folks from the chance to go for several weeks without running into issues. I also dont think that taking pugs over guildies that want to go is ever an option unless its for lack of a tank or heals. Both of these points might need further judgement from a member of the Pultiburo rank or Tal himself.
Exactly
And therein lies the logistics issue of this. I'd love to do this as a guild thing, but it's not realistic to organize it like this, which is a shame. People feel left out, and even if you offer to sit to make room for them there is la bombe drame.
I expect that without setting teams in some way we'd end up having to retread some ground before we hit everything once, and while I would be willing to do that I couldn't blame ANYONE for not wanting to commit to 30-80 mins to do a dungeon that holds no more value for them, and having people randomly dropping in and out will lead to a need to PuG those key roles. Pugging with the composition I outline above is difficult, and convincing random people to try an achievement is even harder.
With that in mind, I'm going to use this post to continue looking for a group of like-minded folks who might want to do this with me as their tank for a couple of weeks and get their mounts. If I see someone else doing the same after I have mine, I'll definitely help out if I can.
((BTW, you mention a strict policy above - where is that outlined? Just curious because I did not know that))
It has been a staple of the
It has been a staple of the Natural order way of doing things since long before I was here. It is implied in the opening of our mission statement when we say we are an "All inclusive" guild. Feel free to run whatever dungeons you like with whom you like but as far as making something a "guild event" there can be no set teams. We have been doing Drake runs in both Ulduar and ICC for a very long time now and have never set teams to do so. If you miss a kill you need one week to sit out you pick it up another time. The same goes for repeating kills to help others out. I think you will find that the vast majority of members have no problems doing things over or stepping out to help each other.
Ah, that make sense. Sorry,
Ah, that make sense. Sorry, from the way you said it I thought I had missed it somewhere in the rules and was committing a faux pas. I don't doubt that there are many members willing to do stuff over and over again (heck, I am) I just wouldn't want to put the burden of availability on them. It would stink to try it as a guild event, rotate someone in, and then not be able to do it on their week because other folks just weren't available.
The short and long of it is because of the size limit on dungeons and the difficulties of trying to split people up for maximum gain/fairness, this might not be doable as a guild run, which stinks but is what it is.
I can be on Sunday nights and
I can be on Sunday nights and I would be down for this. I haven't even done most of the heroics at all yet. After I hit max level I hit the gear wall and the prospect of further grind sort of turned me off the game for a while.
Sure!
Put this up and I'll come for a few. I'm not particulary interested in the drake mount, but I do need the gear on some of my toons. Of course, take some one that wants the drake before pulling me in.
