Heroic Achievement Runs?
So I'm 3 achievements away from my Red Proto-Drake Mount, and it's become pretty clear that the only way I am going to get them done is if I get a guild group together to do them with me. I'm sure others need some achievements out of the way too. I'd ike to get an interest list going of people that want to knock out some achievements, as well as which achievements you need done. If there's enough interest, I'll try to schedule something on a weekend afternoon for us to run together and help each other out.
The ones I need still are:
Zombiefest - Kill 100 Risen Zombies in heroic CoS in 1 minute or less
Respect Your Elders - Defeat Elder Nadox in heroic OK without killing any Anh'kahar Guardians
Chaos Theory - Defeat Anomolus in heroic Nexus without destroying any Chaos Rifts
My understanding is they aren't hard to do. They just need coordination. So, anyone else need these or others and is interested in helping out?

Relm probably has quite a few more than just 5 or 6 left, but I'm always willing to help. Plus, it'd be that many more off my list. I know I def need Less Rabi, and Waka's lust should help knock that one out the park.
That one is just pure dps
with blood lust.
Did it with Tranq and he tanked and the rest was just dps.
We blocked his first transformation and killed him before his 2nd.
Talk about a pain in the ass.

my old guild had something for this. it was called "The Red Proto Drake Club" lol. and they had a sticky thread for people to put what they needed and then they could get together and work on it.

I would like to work on this as well. I know I have the Chaos Therory in Nexxus and other than that i think I need two or three of the drake ones in Occulus.

I've tanked all those achievements before so if you want to do them and have 3 decent dps and want to heal me I can lead you through all three and we can knock them all out in an hour.
zombiefest is simple. In COS you kill all the initial bosses, then you work your way through the town hall. The boss inside the building before Arthas opens the door you kill him, then everyone goes through and waits on the other side down the stairs. The tank goe sback and then basically pulls all the zombies in the inital area, as they've respawned. He pulls them all to you there at the entrance, they're dpsed down by aoe, and then you run out and dps the zombies on the other side to make up the difference and wham done.
Respect your Elders is pretty much just a dps race. Tank charges boss, everyone dps's HARD on the boss as fast as possible, and the healer does it's best to keep the tank up for 15-20 seconds as they pop all cooldowns. If you bring 3 - 3k dpsers it's cake.
Chaos theory is also easy. You can do it a few different ways. The easiest I found is to just park him at the top of the ramp to his circle, and then dps him, when he gets the rifts, just have everyone back off and heal the tank, then after they go away everyone back up to dps, don't kill the rifts, and they despawn, rinse and repeat. Or you can kite him, clear all the adds in the area, and just run away when he does the rifts, and wait for him to stop, adn then come back to you. Dps, he spawns a rift, everyone backs off, after a bit he follows, etc.

I remember when Iel, mage, and I got Chaos Theory, we wiped several times. I remember kiting him all the way off the platforms since he would continuously summon the rifts.
Alternative to dps'ing down elder is to have someone OT the add and run out the room. It works pretty well especially since only one add is spawned during the encounter now. I think 1/2-2/3 of the way to the far set of steps should work if you tank him where he stands.
Zombiefest was simple considering I can sneak over to the far end of the instance before getting nickel and dimed to low health. Also don't forget to pull Salarim or whatever into the inn and wait for the zombies in front of the inn to respawn before killing him. They won't respawn after you kill him.
I think they may have changed it
When I got the achievement we kited him down off the platforms, and around the other side before he was dead. However when I went back the last time and helped someone else get it in a pug I just held him at the top of the ramp to his platform and they would despawn and be dps'able again. Takes T9 tank and healer gear maybe but It did happen.
Also you're right. I forgot that part. Gotta pull him in the in and have nobody dps and just heal the tank who is on auto attack until the zombies all respawn outside the door. then you can kill him and do what I describued.
And in T9 gear with decent dps you realloy don't need to drag the Add anymore, but it does make it easier.

I'll be honest....
I didn't read all the posts here, I just wanna get to lvling my pally. But it's funny you poasted this Iky, after 25 the other night, Sae, Iz and myself were talking about forming a group to do this, I just never got to posting about it. I have a bit to go for my Red-Proto, I believe 16 achvs left...but Sae was also interested in the Iron Proto Drake? I haven't looked into that one, but seeing as I'm a collector of drakes in general, I'm down for anything.

Me and Claera are both interested in any achievement runs whenever they're happening. We still need a fair number.

Iz is definantly in for some acievements for drakes, titles, points whatever have you so I guess I'll just look around and mention it in game and hopefully get some groups up for 5 mans and possibly a suggestion for. Achievement night for 10 mans or other achievements?
Naxx Achievment?
Is that the Immortal achievment? the one for not dieing on any of the bosses? I'd like to try for that one some time.
