Happy Halaa Days? UPDATED

A few folks lead by Chemmie have been working to get the Halaa PvP mounts. This is the Dark Riding Talbuk. The problem is that you require battle tokens and those have to be earned by killing Alliance PLAYERS. No NPCs count.

What we need badly are 5 or more people with Alliance alts (or friends) of at least L77 to meet us at Halaa and we swap kills. The one run we did, we had people on both sides who started with no battle tokens keep score and we got everyone at least 1 mount. Went in a building and took off our gear or switched to RP garb. The odd Alliance player showed up and we put our gear back on and then had a free for all.

This mount requires 70 battle and 15 research tokens. The Dark War Talbuk requires 100 battle and 20 research tokens. Each time a player is killed a battle token is generated for EACH member of the group. The reaearch tokens are earned by exhanging 10 Oshu'gun Powder sample for 1 token (so you need 350) when the Horde has Halaa. These can been farmed at Sunspring Post and at both of the Ogre "sites" in the valleys surround Halaa. Of course, you have to be exalted with the Mag'har as well. You do get rep every time you kill ogres or Oshu'gun, the ogres also drop Obsidian Warbeads that can be turned in for rep in bunches of 10. If you want to do the Consortium rep, save the beads for them. There is decent mining in the area and you can pick up a ton of Netherweave cloth.

We need to do this again at least once and I did put a session on the calendar. We may need a thrid session to ensure that every one on both sides gets their mounts. The biggest problem is getting the Alliance players. And the more people who show, the faster we can get this done. This is the ONLY way to get these mounts. UPDATE: Had a nice chat with Caladorean and he is in an Alliance guild that has a number of people interested in getiing these mounts. I neglected to wwrite down the name of the GL and guild (will get that) and see what we can set up. The idea would be to do at least 2 sessions and just wear RP gear or go nekkid. We will choose a scorekeeper in advance on each side and switch off killing each other every so often. He suggested 30 minutes, I am thinking along the lines of every 50 kills. With enough people we could actually bang out the 170 kills in 1 session but since there are members on bith sides of NO (and probably the other guild) who want the mounts on both sides we would have a 2nd session. You would be encourage to attend both sessions so we make sure everyone who helps gets their mounts since this is only way to get these babies. Sadly, the tokens are soulbound so we can't pass on extras to those that need them. ATTN: Chemmie - I'm not trying to step on your toes, if you want to take the lead on this,let me know.
