Empire Raiding

Not sure if you guys on the Empire side have the numbers to raid or not so i'd like to see what you guys think about teaming up with the empire guild i'm in. Echoes of Eternity. Pretty much Azial is running it. we have most of what we need but are a few short to start raids. Soooooooooo Empire people.. what do you guys think?

The empire guild is an alt
The empire guild is an alt guild if I recall right. I would rather see natural order expand the republic side to doing 16 man raiding instead of splitting the guild up between empire amd republic sides.
On that note, this topic seems go keep coming up. We took a poll before the game came out and the republic was vhosen to be the faction by a fairly large margin iirc. We support having an alt guild, and certainly want you all to play what you want. However for major guild activities such as raiding, drunken pvp, etc, the republic guild is where most of us have our mains.

yes it's an "alt" guild but some people prefer to play empire over republic. That's why i'm asking this. For those that do want to stay on empire side its a chance for them to get to raid in the faction they prefer.
The poll was to see which side NO would be mainly on. and it did its job and NO is a republic main guild. My offer is again for those that do not wish to play republic or dont enjoy it as much to have a chance to raid without having to lvl a republic toon in order to be able to raid.
It's strictly choice and having the option if the person wishes. If not no big deal, i just figured since our empire guild is small and the alt guild would have a few mains to join forces to have fun and raid.
Not trying to steal members to come to our guild or anything like that its more of a partnership.

... the Empire guild but I'd feel kind of insulted by the statement that it's an alt guild and there should be no discussion as to what can / should be done there. For some who have chosen to play Empire over Republic it's a main guild. Just because Republic side is where the majority of NO (WoW ) members ended up to me doesnt make it " MAIN" in my opinion. This is all neither here nor there since I can't get anyone on Empire side to answer a single whisper. I've tried talking to at least 8 different toons over the last 5 days and not one reply.

Calling it an 'alt guild' doesn't mean it's a guild full of alts. Like Zee said, we took a poll and it favoured Republic so we rolled our first guild there, that's why it's our 'main guild'. The main guild is the one we're going to be pushing for progression with, and the one we'll be trying hardest to grow.
If you want to play Sith, that's fine. But know that you were informed in advance of which faction we'd be playing. If you want to try and organize something that's fine, but remember that the guild's 'regulars' mostly play Republic, and will be devoting most of their time and energy towards that. We've been running 8 man normals and having been pushing into hard modes with the goal of eventually being able to field 16 man ops groups. THAT'S what makes it our main guild.
If someone really wanted to play Alliance, they shouldn't expect our Horde players to faction change or reroll to support that when our guild has clearly always been Horde. Trying to field multiple raiding teams across multiple factions spreads us too thin and just makes us mediocre at everything.
If you really have your heart set on playing Empire, then by all means do it. We're just saying you should know that we won't be pushing for recruitment or progression on that side. I can't see the officer boards so I'm not sure if anything's changed since the last time this came up, but as far as I know this guild doesn't have any exclusivity rules. If you really want to play Empire we're not going to force you to play with us. We just ask you don't try to poach members.

@Kreegson - if you need an invite to the Empire guild, your best bet is to pop over on a Republic toon and ask me or someone else to log over to an Empire toon and invite you. Not sure who you've been whispering, but I would guess the reason you haven't had a response is because they haven't been online.
@Oph - it's kind of disappointing that the people who wanted to play Empire side chose to spread themselves across different servers/guilds instead of sticking with the Empire guild we created on Sith Wyrm. Maybe if everyone had stuck together, the Empire side would be seeing a lot more activity. But I respect that those people - yourself and Az included - wanted to do their own thing separate from the guild. So best of luck to you guys, but I need to point out that you've already posted several times about the Empire guild you and Az are running and to keep posting about it does come across as recruiting/poaching. So let it go at this point. Thanks.

nothing in my current post is poaching. it's giving those who only want to play on the empire side an option to raid. i'm not asking them to leave the guild or anything like that just offering a partnership so that they can raid if they want to.
Now if i said "hey come over to our guild and you can raid" i would understand being upset with me. Now before you had Unnatural Chaos set up and it was a big cluster for the empire guys i was saying if they needed a home they could come. but i respect that you have the guild set up now and i would never try to steal/poach members.
that being said, i know you guys are primary republic. i understand that and hell i even have my consular in NO. but my primary side is empire and thats where i spend most of my time. I dont even see why you are making an issue of me asking people who ONLY want to play empire side and arent interested in raiding republic if they want to raid with us. It's an option for them to where they will NOT have to leave their guild.

I understand you don't think it does, but that is how it is coming across. As I said, you've posted about your other guild several times. We had this issue come up with someone else already, and had said in that case that it's not appropriate to advertise or promote your other guild on our guild forums.
I realize you are not looking for people to leave NO to join your guild and are instead suggesting that high-level NO Empire players might have a raiding opportunity with your guild as guests. You've made it clear to NO members that you have an Empire guild separate from the one that NO created and I wish you the best of luck with it, however I (and others) don't feel there is a need to advertise if further, regardless of your intentions. If you want to argue or debate this further with me, you can send me a message here.

how can i not get defensive kibs? all i was doing is offering empire players a chance to raid without having to leave their guild and she is trying to say i'm poaching people. so yes i am defensive because thats a load of crap and like usual if you dont say what she wants she tries to hush it. there is no reason to go to PM's. because people can decide for themselves.

This coming from someone who's off doing their own thing too... but a coheisive group of imperials has been hard to come by. The devisive power of the darkside possibly?
I'm in your shoes too, but I believe NO's website should be used/abused for purposes to the benefit of NO. Prolly nothing wrong with saying I'm still on the server, keep me on your friends list, love to hear from ya... but much more than that just isn't fair... escpecially with team red being such a hot button these days. Hit your friends up in game and send em the offer to fill a guest slot, or take offers like this to an officer. NO has had some guild alliances in the past when we didn't have enough to run 25 man content... but those joint ventures were always coming from someone like Tal, or the current raid leader... not somone who's main was in another guild (like you or me).

I was asked to give my 2 cents
As noted this issue has come up a few times. We have some new policy that I need to post regarding it. I support what Kael and Iky said above. I don't think that Oph or anyone intends to poach or has ill intent with posting these things about the Empire side, but at the same time I'd like it if people were able to kind of step back and understand the situation.
It's hard to be a multi game guild. It just is. There's no denying it.
One of the things we decided to do to make it easier on us was to 'pick a side'. This way we could vote as a group which side we prefered to play on, and focus our energies there. Rather than spread 20-30 players out over multiple servers and factions. The majority, by a large amount, voted for the Republic side to be our main, so that's where our efforts are. The "Alt Guild" on the Sith side was intended as a place that we could play the Sith side storylines together with our same group, but not ever to raid or do end game things.
Some people have decided that they would rather play a Sith Main, than play with us on the Republic side. Honestly this makes me sad, that people would pick a specific GAME FACTION rather than stick with this guild and each other. EAch to their own though. If people want to not really play much with us in a particular game, it's there 2 dollars. We're not going to gkick someone from the guild or the warcraft guild because they decided to make a Sith "Main" and raid over there in a different guild.
However, once again, this guild is attempting to have a strong presence in two games. This requires us to focus on strengthening the core groups we have, both horde warcraft, and alliance star wars. When someone comes in and says "hey we're raiding in so and so's OTHER sith guild, who wants to join us" it rubs people the wrong way because it could have a weakening affect on our guild efforts. If one person who WOULD have raided with the guild on the Alliance side transitions to Sith to raid in a different guild on a different faction it really weakens our own efforts.
So while we don't really have a problem with someone raiding Sith, or being in a different guild than us even on our own side and own faction, to come here and say "hey we're doing X in this guild if you're interested" basically is a "poaching" type message and can weaken our efforts.
I wish that the few different groups that seem to have formed up other guilds on both our server, and others, on the sith side, and simply stayed in our own sith guild, and maybe both could have flourished, but instead people decided to break out on their own. I wish those people luck, and I don't want them to leave the guild, or get gkicked for doing something else, but particularly right now when we're trying to strengthen our multi-game efforts, I don't think it's appropriate for people to be doing things that can weaken that effort.
For the core of this guild it's not about faction or anything, it's about the group of people we like to play games with, regardless of what that game is. I just wish it would be like that for everyone, but apparently it's not. To those people I wish the best of luck if they only want to occasionally play specific games with us, but if they're playing in a competing environment for our guild members, It'd be appreciated if they didn't publicize it on this guild's website.

I understand what you are
I understand what you are saying and i honestly didnt mean it to seem like i was trying to make people compete. To simplify it it was for people who dont play on the republic side at all to be able to stay in their guild and be able to raid if they want to. it was never to try to take players that are raiding with you guys on the republic side or even temp players on that side. i honestly just wanted empire people to be able to raid since you guys are only focusing on republic.
