Druids and haste... revisited

Druids

Now that we are getting better gear and have the potential to push stats further i have been taking a second look at haste. There is a great site that explains the numbers. Somthing i also was shocked to find is that alot of druids out there in high end raiding guilds are droping as much as 200-300 intellect to reach the 2005 haste cap (which will give you at least 1 extra tick in every hot and 2 or 3 in others. The major reasoning for this is to get the extra tick in WG witch is suposed to be huge. One other thing to note is that with a 5% raid buff the it takes 1406 haste to reach the 1 second global cooldown. This is the link to the chart that shows all the individual haste breaks. It also reafirms to me that dark intent should be used on a druid. The amount it increases our hot ticks is incredible. Also pay attention to the difference natures grace makes, I will definatly be chaning my heal style when it is up.

You don't play a druid anymore. Well, you might but it's all mixed up with cleric and shamn.

I was able to hit 1426

I was able to hit 1426 haste without significantly impacting my others stats with the help of the alchemy trinket which adds 194. What you get at the 1426 lvl is an extra tick to regrowth and your min GCD. You also are in a position to hit the 2005 mark when your natures grace procs so thats the time to pop your wild growth and efloresence since you will get the extra tick to them.

I tried doing your Crit thing for awhile, but it just didn't work for me. My casts felt slow, and the GCD different was noticble for me. I went back and pushed everything to haste I could (though I didn't go so far as to respect Int or anything... but anywhere I had just crit it went to haste, etc). Now I"ma t 1614 and with plenty of gear upgrades to go. I dunno if I"ll be able to hit the 2005 mark but with more gear maybe. Certainly with next tier gear hopefully.

The stuff I've healed after going abck to full haste (a copule weeks ago) has been alot better for me.

Very nice. With that much haste you should be able to hit the 2005 mark if you have a lock that puts DI on you. I think 1573 is the break point with DI and a 5% raid buff.

Also i never had a thing against haste. It was just at the time those lvls of haste were out of my reach. I Chose crit to stack because i felt it was way better then Mastery at the time and still is. that goes out the window from what im seeing of 4.2 though.. mastery looks pretty cool with what there doing with it in that patch so far.
