It's things like this...
...that really make me wish the Libertarians had managed to take over New Hampshire or whatever stupid thing they were trying to do a few years ago.
And that would affect China being crazy...

I visited a park in Beijing,
I visited a park in Beijing, I can assure you those people don't sit down. They're all very healthy, and 90% of them were actively participating in tai chi or other workout routines and sports. The others were local tourist visiting the temple there.
Something like this would only work on us lazy westerners.

There's a warning tone 30 seconds before the spikes come up. All it would take is for one hearing impared person to be skeward, a multi-million dollar lawsuit and these benches would be yesterdays news.
I'd say the same thing could happen in China...then I realised it was China and you'd probably get laughed at for mentioning 'lawsuit' or publically executed...oh wait that's North Korea...
