Just curious, has anyone ever been to a Blizzcon? I remember a thread when tickets were going on sale, how damn expensive they were and the ridculous mark ups that followed in their wake.

But I have to ask...is it really that good? Is it pretty much one non stop nerdgasm?

I noticed they had online tickets...the thought had crossed my mind, they cost $40 but you don't really get anything TO special. You get an in-game Murloc pet decked out with a Deathwing skin and some SC2 things...a Murloc Marine portrait and some kind of skin or symbol for your in game units.

I attempted to go last year,

I attempted to go last year, but the ticket queues max out within seconds of the ticket releases. I was at work when it happened and was way too deep in a queue only 3 minutes after the opening. I didn't want to risk 2nd hand tickets for something I would have to go across the country for.

It may be a nerdgasm from an outside perspective, but I imagine like any sci-fi/comic convention it's not nerdy on the inside when everyone else shares your passion about something.

I'd go, and I'm sure I'll eventually go to one, but it won't be this year. I'll get the virtual ticket though. It's nice to be able to watch the developer chats before you see it all spammed across the internet.

I've never been to Blizzcon, but I did go to SOE's Fan Faire before, and that was a lot of fun, so I can only imagine how much fun Blizzcon would be. I plan to get the online ticket so I can watch the event from home (even though Blizzcon is only 40min from my house lol.)

I r going!

I love seeing home made costumes, thats probably one of my favorite parts about Blizzcon, people are so damn creative. I would sooo wear some t10 lock armor around if some one made it for me :P
